Join Community Mapping Events to Track Sea Level Rise
The Sea Level Rise app empowers citizens to map local flooding, contributing vital data on sea level rise and its impacts. While coastal communities globally face this challenge, our initial efforts in Hampton Roads, Virginia, leveraged the contributions of thousands of volunteers during annual "Catch the King Tide" events. Developed by Wetlands Watch, this app fosters community engagement and proactive responses to rising sea levels.
Access user-submitted data on this global phenomenon and participate (as a volunteer) in gathering crucial street-level information to address its challenges. App features include:
