Among Us 3D: Release Date and Exciting Updates

Developer Schell Games and publisher Innersloth made the announcement on the game's official Twitter (X) account on April 16. Originally known as Among Us VR, the game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to offer a more inclusive experience with cross-play multiplayer. This week, the developers also introduced a new currency called Stardust, which does not expire, providing players with greater flexibility in their in-game purchases.

Among Us 3D brings a host of new features to the table. Players can look forward to a permanent Tag Mode with an exciting new Infected role, native proximity voice chat for more immersive gameplay, limited-time events, and a mix of new and returning mini-games. Additionally, a variety of new cosmetics will be available, allowing players to customize their characters to their heart's content.

It's important to clarify that Among Us 3D is a standalone game, separate from the original Among Us VR released in 2022. Schell Games emphasized on their website’s FAQs that separating these versions allows them to provide quality updates to Among Us VR players while crafting a tailored, high-quality experience for PC players with Among Us 3D.
