Avex Pictures has exciting news for fans of the captivating world of Made in Abyss. The beloved series, which has previously enthralled audiences through manga, anime, and a 3D action RPG, is now set to embark on a new adventure with its first mobile game, titled Made in Abyss: A Difficult and Mysterious Journey. This announcement came alongside the launch of the game's official X account, which will keep fans updated as the release date approaches.

While details about the gameplay are still scarce, we know it will be a casual mobile title available initially only in Japan for Android and iOS platforms. No information has been released yet regarding a global rollout, leaving fans outside Japan eagerly awaiting further news.

For those new to the series, Made in Abyss began as a manga in 2012, crafted by Akihito Tsukushi and serialized on Web Comic Gamma. The story revolves around Riko, a young orphan from the town of Orth, which is perched on the edge of the mysterious Abyss—a vast vertical chasm teeming with ancient technology, bizarre creatures, and untold secrets that have claimed many explorers.

Riko, inspired by her mother Lyza, a renowned White Whistle Cave Raider who vanished into the depths, dreams of uncovering the Abyss's mysteries. Her journey takes a significant turn when she encounters Reg, a boy with robotic features and no recollection of his origins. Together, they venture into the perilous unknown, fully aware that their descent might be one-way.

The manga's success led to an anime adaptation in 2017, followed by a sequel film, Dawn of the Deep Soul, released in Japan in 2020. Additionally, in 2022, Chime Corporation brought the adventure to consoles and PCs with Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness.
