The dungeon extraction genre continues gaining momentum across the gaming landscape. Albion Online joins this trend with its upcoming Abyssal Depths update, introducing similar mechanics through its new Abyssal Dungeons.

Players can access these challenging dungeons through the Antiquarian's Den, where groups of 2-3 will compete in PvP-focused encounters. The gameplay involves navigating dangerous environments like Caerleon, battling monsters, and escaping before the dungeon collapses - mechanics reminiscent of Dark and Darker's successful formula.

Revamped New Player Experience

Beyond the new dungeons, the update focuses heavily on improving onboarding for newcomers. The enhanced tutorial system integrates with the existing Albion Journal to better guide players through early game progression.

Additional improvements include UI refinements, expanded tutorial interactions, and various quality-of-life enhancements. Players can learn more through developer talks, with the first session already available.
