Albion Online's Rogue Frontier Update: Aiding Outcasts and Misfits
Albion Online, the medieval fantasy MMORPG developed by Sandbox Interactive, is set to launch its highly anticipated update, Rogue Frontier, on February 3rd. This update promises to bring a host of new features and content to the game, making it an exciting start to the year for players.
What’s Happening in the Outlands?
The Rogue Frontier update focuses on The Smugglers, a group of rebels who have grown tired of the Royal Continent's stringent regulations and are now establishing their presence in the lawless Outlands. These Smugglers have set up secret underground hideouts known as Smuggler’s Dens, which serve as essential hubs for banking, repairs, and planning your next adventure. Each den is connected through the Smuggler’s Network, a sophisticated system that links marketplaces throughout the Outlands.
The Smugglers have formed their own Faction and are engaged in ongoing conflicts with the Royal Guards. Players can assist them in various ways, such as rescuing captured Smugglers or delivering contraband hidden in Smuggler Crates.
Loyalty Has Its Perks in the Rogue Frontier Update of Albion Online
In the Rogue Frontier update, loyalty to the Smugglers is rewarded by Maggy Slade, a mysterious trader found in the dens. Players can earn exclusive items like the Smuggler’s Vanity Set, a Smuggler’s Cape that reduces potion cooldowns, and a Smuggler’s Ring and Avatar.
A new feature introduced with this update is Kill Trophies, which drop when you defeat another player. The quality of the loot on your vanquished opponent increases your chances of obtaining one of these trophies.
Rogue Frontier also introduces new weapons to Albion Online, adding both style and strategy to the game. The Rotcaller Staff allows you to summon a mist-spewing form that repels enemies, the Skystrider Bow enables you to levitate and shoot bolts from above, and the Forcepulse Bracers send shockwaves through opponents as you dash into battle.
Get ready for the Rogue Frontier update by downloading Albion Online from the Google Play Store and prepare for the massive update on February 3rd.
