Alicia Silverstone Returns for Clueless Sequel Series

Fans of the iconic 1995 film *Clueless* are in for a treat as Alicia Silverstone is set to don the yellow and plaid once again, reprising her role as Cher Horowitz in a new sequel series for Peacock. The project, currently in development, promises to continue the beloved story from where it left off, although specific plot details are still under wraps.

This upcoming series marks a fresh attempt at a *Clueless* spin-off, distinct from the one Peacock had planned back in 2020. The creative team behind this new venture includes Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, known for their work on the original *Gossip Girl* series and its reboot, along with Jordan Weiss. They will not only write the series but also serve as executive producers alongside Amy Heckerling, the original writer-director of *Clueless*, and Robert Lawrence, the film's original producer. CBS Studios and Universal Television are also on board to produce this exciting continuation.

This isn't the first time *Clueless* has made the leap to the small screen. Following the film's success, a television adaptation aired on ABC and UPN from 1996 to 1999, with Rachel Blanchard stepping into the role of Cher instead of Silverstone.

Silverstone's recent return to her *Clueless* character in a 2023 Super Bowl commercial for Rakuten shows her enthusiasm for revisiting Cher's world. It's clear she's eager to step back into Cher's iconic wardrobe, and fans are undoubtedly thrilled to see her do so.
