The Alienware AW3225QF, unveiled at CES 2024, is Dell's exclusive monitor that marries a 4K resolution with an OLED panel. It employs Samsung's QD OLED technology, which offers superior brightness compared to traditional OLED panels while preserving near-infinite response time, contrast ratio, and black levels. This monitor is HDR True Black 400 certified with a peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits. It also features a 99.3% DCI-P3 color range and comes factory calibrated. Additional specs include a 1700R curve, a 240Hz refresh rate, and G-Sync certification.
In terms of connectivity, the AW3225QF is equipped with two HDMI 2.1 ports (one with eARC) and one DisplayPort 1.4 port, all capable of supporting 4K resolution at up to 240Hz. It also includes a couple of USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports for peripherals and a single USB Type-C port for charging. Dell offers a comprehensive three-year warranty that includes burn-in protection.
Keep in mind that 4K monitors demand a robust GPU. With 4K resolution boasting 2.25 times more pixels than QHD, achieving frame rates up to 240fps requires at least a GeForce RTX 4070. For optimal performance, consider a gaming PC with an RTX 4080 Super, RTX 4090, or RX 7900XTX to fully leverage this monitor's capabilities.
