Fans of the Amazon Appstore for Android will soon be saying goodbye. TechCrunch reports that Amazon is shutting down its Android app store on August 20th, 2024.

Amazon's support page clarifies that apps already installed won't necessarily receive future updates or support. However, the Appstore will remain operational on Amazon's Fire TV and Fire Tablet devices.
