Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for a delightful event named Sweet Discoveries, where the charming Applin makes its much-anticipated debut. This event is a must-attend for those passionate about adding new Pokémon to their collection or hunting for those elusive shiny versions. Here's everything you need to know about this exciting event.

When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?

The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and concludes on April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. The highlight is undoubtedly the debut of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.

To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. Alternatively, to evolve it into Appletun, you'll require the same 200 candies but with 20 Sweet Apples. For its final evolution into Dipplin and then Hydrapple, the same principles apply.

A crucial part of the evolution process involves the Apples, which you can find in the wild. Tapping on them may reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering these Apples increase around Mossy Lure Modules.

Applin is unique in that it spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself to hide from its natural predators, bird Pokémon. This adorable creature is certainly one of the cutest in the Pokémon GO lineup.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, new avatar items will be available in the shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. Additionally, event bonuses include earning 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.

There will be an increased chance of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild, as well as a higher probability of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.

Another sweet feature of the event involves berries; catching Delibird or Skwovet will reward you with berries. If you haven't already, make sure to download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and join in on the fun.
