Applin and Dynamax Entei to Debut in Pokémon Go This Month

Apr 14,25

Two exciting Pokémon from the Galar region are making their debut in Pokémon Go this month, offering both sweetness and firepower. The Sweet Discoveries event, running from April 24th to 29th, introduces the adorable Applin, a Dragon/Grass-type Pokémon. To evolve Applin, you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples. Use Tart Apples to evolve it into Flapple, or Sweet Apples for Appletun. These apples can be found in the wild, particularly around Mossy Lures, and might even trigger Applin encounters.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, expect to see wild spawns like Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Field Research and Eggs will offer chances to encounter themed Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research, both free and paid, will be available, with the paid version providing extra Mossy Lure Modules and additional Applin encounters. Don't miss out on the Applin Headband and Apron available in the shop, and keep an eye on PokéStop Showcases for themed Pokémon.

If you're more interested in raw power, mark your calendar for the Max Battle Weekend from April 26th to 27th, featuring the debut of Dynamax Entei. This event might even give you a chance to encounter a Shiny Entei.

Several bonuses will be active during both events. You'll enjoy an increased Max Particle cap, reduced distance needed to collect them, and faster Power Spot refresh rates. Additionally, you'll earn eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot. Leading up to the Max Battle Weekend, free Timed Research begins on April 21st, rewarding you with a Dynamax Sobble to help balance your team against Entei.

Prepare for these events by checking out redeemable Pokémon Go codes and visiting the Pokémon Go Web Store to stock up on necessary items.
