Tim Burton's iconic Batman universe is set to expand further with the release of a new novel titled "Batman: Revolution." Penned by John Jackson Miller and brought to you by Penguin Random House, this book introduces the Burton-Verse's interpretation of The Riddler. You can now preorder your copy on Amazon.

As reported by ComicBook.com, "Revolution" serves as a sequel to the 2024 novel "Batman: Resurrection," also authored by Miller. Set in the timeline between the 1989 film "Batman" and its 1992 sequel "Batman Returns," "Revolution" draws inspiration from Burton's unproduced third Batman movie, which was rumored to feature Robin Williams as The Riddler.

Here's the official synopsis for "Batman: Revolution":

It’s summer, and Gotham City has reason to celebrate. The last traces of The Joker’s toxic legacy have finally vanished, just in time for the mayor to team up with retail tycoon Max Shreck to plan a Fourth of July extravaganza. Yet, not everyone is in a festive mood. Batman remains ever vigilant as the city faces escalating threats from rival gangs and masked criminals. Concurrently, public protests mount against the city's opulent celebrations.

No one feels the tug-of-war between Gotham’s hope and despair more acutely than Norman Pinkus. A humble copy boy at the Gotham Globe, Norman is the unsung genius behind the paper’s popular "Riddle Me This" puzzles. Yet, he harbors a secret: He's the smartest man in Gotham, solving crimes anonymously through the police tip line—often before Batman even knows of the crime.

Despite his contributions, fame and fortune elude Norman. His belief in Gotham's potential and justice wanes. Feeling overlooked, he devises a plan: With the aid of dangerous new allies, he stokes the simmering unrest of the hot summer to challenge Batman to a high-stakes game of riddles, aiming to prove who the city's real savior is. As Norman, now known as The Riddler, clashes with Batman, they unearth hidden truths about Gotham's past that will shape its future.

"Batman: Revolution" is slated for release on October 28, 2025. Secure your copy today by preordering on Amazon.
