Bethesda to Unveil Oblivion Remake Tomorrow

May 12,25

After months of speculation and leaks, Bethesda is poised to officially unveil the much-anticipated remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion tomorrow. The announcement is scheduled for 8am PT/11am ET and will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch.

The official Bethesda Twitter account dropped a teaser today, featuring a prominent "IV" and a background reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork, leaving little doubt about the subject of tomorrow's announcement.

Rumors of an Oblivion remake have been circulating for years, with recent leaks providing more substantial evidence. The possibility first surfaced with a leaked 2020 Bethesda release schedule during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which mentioned an Oblivion remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. Although the document's age and missed release window initially suggested the project might have been canceled, fresh leaks in January of this year indicated that Bethesda, in collaboration with Virtuos, was indeed working on a full-scale remake. Last week's leaks from Virtuos' website, which included images of the game in development, further solidified these rumors.

If the latest leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Fans can look forward to a Deluxe Edition, which will include the iconic horse armor, in addition to the standard release.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow to catch the official confirmation and learn more about what Bethesda has in store for this beloved classic.
