Black Ops 6 Unveils New Zombies Map

No Amalgams Here

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expanding its round-based survival mode, Zombies, with an all-new map, marking the fifth addition to the game. A sneak peek was shared on the official Call of Duty and Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch Studio's X (formerly Twitter) accounts. The post, dated March 12, 2025, features an image of a grand mansion showcasing visible damage, flaming army car wreckage, dark plumes of black smoke, and internal fires.

Accompanying the image is a caption reading "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" with the "#Zombies" hashtag. Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a familiar character from the series who played a significant role in Call of Duty: Cold War, is set to return in this Black Ops 6 remake.

Sharp-eyed fans have identified the setting as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, dated February 1991, aligning perfectly with the timeline from the previous Black Ops 6 Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting a continuation of the narrative.

Black Ops 6 Zombies Mode's New Map May Remove or Reduce Amalgams

A notable feature of this new map is the absence of Amalgam enemies. This was confirmed by Treyarch on their Instagram when a fan expressed excitement about facing "20 amalgams on this map too," only to receive a firm "Nope" in response. Amalgams, known for their high HP and powerful attacks, are elite class enemies. Their exclusion from this map could make for a smoother gameplay experience.
