The legendary Black Kyurem and White Kyurem are making their much-anticipated debut during the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova – Global, bringing with them exciting new Adventure Effects to enhance your gameplay outside of battles. Make the most of these opportunities by leveraging the Tour Pass to maximize your earnings and overall experience.

Black Kyurem's signature move, Freeze Shock, creates an electrically charged ice field that lasts for 10 minutes. This unique effect immobilizes wild Pokémon, significantly increasing your chances of catching them. On the other hand, White Kyurem's Ice Burn slows down the target ring during encounters, making it easier for you to achieve those coveted Excellent Throws. Both effects can be extended in 10-minute increments, up to two hours at a time, with a maximum total duration of 24 hours.

To encounter these legendary Pokémon, participate in five-star raids during the event to collect Fusion Energy. Once you fuse Zekrom or Reshiram with a Kyurem that knows Glaciate, the move will be replaced by either Freeze Shock or Ice Burn. Remember, these moves will revert back to Glaciate when the Pokémon are separated. It's worth noting that Kyurem cannot currently learn these moves through Charged TM or Elite Charged TM.

As part of the event, you'll have the opportunity to choose between two badges: Black Version (Reshiram) or White Version (Zekrom). Choosing the Black Version means that Kyurem encountered after defeating Black Kyurem will know Glaciate, and you'll receive Reshiram-themed Special Research rewards. Opting for the White Version will grant you Zekrom-themed Special Research rewards, and Kyurem encountered after defeating White Kyurem will also know Glaciate.

To further enhance your progression, utilize the Tour Pass. This pass unlocks a variety of rewards and boosts your Adventure Effects. Earn Tour Points by catching Pokémon, completing raids, and hatching Eggs, or accelerate your progress with quick Pass Tasks. Reaching Major Milestones will increase your Catch XP and extend the duration of Freeze Shock or Ice Burn.
