In 2025, World of Warcraft fans can look forward to an exciting new feature: the housing system. Blizzard has unveiled the first details, promising a system that's accessible to all players, free from complex requirements, exorbitant costs, or lottery systems. Importantly, your home won't be at risk even if your subscription lapses. The housing system will fully launch with the Midnight expansion.

At the launch, players will have the opportunity to select their plot in one of two distinct zones: For the Alliance, this means choosing a spot in Elwynn Forest, enhanced with elements from Westfall and Duskwood, or for the Horde, selecting a location in Durotar, which includes features from Azshara and the Durotar coastline.

Each zone will be divided into districts, each housing approximately 50 homes. You can opt to settle in an open area or join a private community alongside friends and guildmates. The developers are committed to offering a vast array of decoration options for personalization, with most available directly in-game, while some exclusive items will be available in the shop.

Blizzard emphasizes that the housing system is designed around three core principles: extensive customization, fostering social interactions, and ensuring longevity.
