Alert: Music streaming service Spotify appears to be experiencing outages this morning.

Reports of Spotify service disruptions started appearing around 6 a.m. PT today according to Downdetector (IGN's sister site), with outage reports continuing steadily since then. Our team couldn't access Spotify services for most of the morning, and when the app did open, music playback remained unavailable.

Spotify has officially recognized the technical difficulties and stated they're "working to resolve it as soon as possible." The company has also clarified that rumors connecting the outage to a potential security breach are untrue.
