"Calico Nerfed, Sinclair Reworked in Latest Deadlock Update"

Apr 28,25

Valve keeps the excitement alive for Deadlock enthusiasts with their latest update, showcasing their commitment to refining the game experience. This recent patch, though small, brings significant changes to four heroes, ensuring balanced gameplay.

Calico faced a substantial nerf, particularly with her Return to Shadows ability. The cooldown for this skill has been increased by ten seconds, and 20% of its speed has been shifted to T2. Additionally, the damage output from T2 Leaping Slash has been dialed back, aiming to adjust Calico's dominance in battles.

Sinclair, on the other hand, received a visual and functional overhaul. New sounds and animations breathe fresh life into this hero, and his Rabbit Hex now boasts an Area of Effect (AoE) capability, enhancing his impact on the battlefield. Meanwhile, both Holliday and Wraith also encountered nerfs, aligning their abilities with the game's evolving dynamics.

The update didn't stop at heroes; several items were tweaked as well. Ammo Scavenger now offers fewer stacks and has lost its health bonus, potentially altering strategies around resource management. Similarly, Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot no longer boost Fire Rate and Weapon Damage, respectively, which may lead players to rethink their equipment choices.

This marks the fifth update for Deadlock in 2025 and the first for February. Valve has shifted its strategy, moving away from a fixed patch schedule to a more flexible approach, releasing updates as they see fit. Today's patch is a testament to their ongoing dedication to improving the game whenever necessary.
