Camo Challenge Tracking in Black Ops 6: How It Works
Season 2 of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* has officially launched today, bringing with it an exciting new feature that simplifies the progression grind. The newly introduced Camo Challenge Tracking feature is set to revolutionize how players tackle their camo and calling card challenges, making the journey to coveted rewards like Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter smoother and more enjoyable.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Gives Simple Access to Camo Challenge Progress
According to the patch notes for the latest update to *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*, the Camo Challenge Tracking feature is designed to enhance player experience: “The Challenge Tracker makes it easy for players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges they’re actively working toward, but there’s another element of this system that we think players will find useful on the journey to Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter: Near Completion.” This feature enables players to manually select 10 camos for tracking, providing easy access to their progress at any point during gameplay, without needing to navigate back to the main menu. Additionally, the tracker offers notifications for challenges nearing completion, even if they aren't among the manually tracked ones.

How To Track Camo and Calling Card Challenges in Black Ops 6
To begin tracking a specific challenge, navigate to the desired Camo or Calling Card challenge. Use the Y button on an Xbox controller or the Triangle button on a PlayStation controller to add it to your tracker. This allows you to monitor your progress on various camos or calling cards during live matches in *Black Ops 6*, rather than waiting until after the game to assess your next steps.
Even without manual selection, the game automatically populates the tracker with challenges you're close to completing, ensuring you're always informed about what's next on your unlock list. Additionally, in the *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* lobby, the Daily Challenge section displays a comprehensive list of camo and calling card challenges that are "near complete," making it easier to prioritize your efforts.
The Season 2 update also makes unlocking special camos more achievable. Previously, players needed to unlock nine military camos to access a special camo; now, this requirement has been reduced to five. However, to achieve mastery camos, players still need to unlock two special camos.
The community has long discussed the challenge of tracking progress and earning headshots and kills for the multitude of camos available. Treyarch seems to be responding to player feedback by introducing more efficient ways to earn and equip camos, enhancing the overall enjoyment of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
