Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Title Update 1

Apr 20,25

Excitement is building as Monster Hunter Wilds prepares to launch its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing new quests that emphasize competition through fast clear times. However, Capcom is taking a firm stance against cheating, ensuring a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.

In a recent post on their X/Twitter account, Capcom issued a clear warning: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This stern message underscores Capcom's commitment to maintaining the integrity of the game.

Moreover, Capcom highlighted the risks associated with multiplayer hunts involving cheaters. They cautioned that participating in such hunts could lead to invalid quest completion times and the revocation of rewards for all party members. "Please take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited activity, or those you suspect of such," the company advised, urging players to report any fraudulent activity they encounter during quests.

The new quests will offer enticing rewards, including cosmetic pendants. Some of these rewards will be distributed to all participants, while others will be based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. Given the stakes, Capcom's stringent measures against cheating are crucial to preserve the competitive spirit and fairness of these quests.

The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. Be sure to prioritize this once Title Update 1 becomes available in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more details, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
