Like many farming simulators, Fields of Mistria includes a fishing mini-game. The rarest catches are Legendary Fish, and this guide explains how to reel them all in.

Fields of Mistria Legendary Fish Locations

Four Legendary Fish can be caught in Fields of Mistria. These rare fish are elusive, but the game alerts you with an “A legendary fish is nearby” message at the start of the day. When you see this, dedicate the day to fishing for these unique catches.

To catch Legendary Fish, you must unlock the Legendary skill in the Fishing Skill tree, found in Tier 3 for 80 Essences. Once unlocked, Legendary Fish will spawn. New players may not catch all four in their first year, so aim to unlock this skill before year two begins.

Spring – Cherry Fish

The Cherry Fish, the first Legendary Fish, spawns only in Spring. It prefers ponds, particularly the large one east of the city. Fish on windy days and focus on small shadows, as this fish is petite. If the large pond yields nothing, try the smaller pond near the Manor House in Mistria Town.

Summer – Lightning Fish

The Lightning Fish, the second Legendary Fish in Fields of Mistria, appears in Summer during stormy weather. Head to the rivers at the Narrows on the city’s west side. Check both river stretches or explore other rivers, like those in the city or on your farm. Look for medium-sized shadows, as this fish is larger.

Fall – Leaf Fish

The Leaf Fish, the third Legendary Fish, is catchable only in Fall. Check rivers along the Eastern Road on windy days. Like the Cherry Fish, it’s small, so focus on smaller shadows in the water.

Winter – Snow Fish

The Snow Fish, the final Legendary Fish in Fields of Mistria, spawns in Winter during snowy or blizzard conditions. Fish from the beach or swim to the small island on the west side of the ocean. Be cautious, as other fish may scatter if you get too close. This medium-sized fish is easier to spot.

How To Use Legendary Fish in Fields of Mistria

After catching a Legendary Fish, donate it to the Museum. Collecting all four earns you Fish Wings as a reward. Your Museum progress determines additional rewards, which may include furniture, a recipe, or a treasure chest with extra items.
