An adorable new puzzle platformer, Cato: Buttered Cat, is launching on Android! The game's quirky name—a blend of "cat" and "toast"—perfectly reflects its unique gameplay. Curious about buttered toast on a cat's back? The developers at Team Woll were too, leading to a game where the cat spins endlessly in delightful anti-gravity!
Initially a 2022 BOOOM Gamejam entry, Cato: Buttered Cat's positive reception spurred its full development. Already available on Steam for PC, the Android version is coming soon. While the Google Play page isn't live yet, you can pre-register on the official TapTap page.
What awaits you in Cato: Buttered Cat?
Control both a cat and a slice of buttered toast to solve puzzles, battle enemies, and explore five whimsical worlds across 200 levels (including side quests). Uncover a hidden storyline piece by piece, and dress your cat in 30 different outfits!
The cat's agility and the toast's projectile capabilities create engaging gameplay. Use the toast to propel the cat to otherwise unreachable areas. Hidden rooms and Easter eggs add to the fun!
