Unlike the Witcher series, adapted from Andrzej Sapkowski's novels, and Cyberpunk 2077, based on a tabletop RPG, Project Hadar unfolds within a completely new CD Projekt universe. While details remain limited (excluding confirmation that it's not a space horror), the project, previously involving around twenty individuals, has significantly expanded.

Currently, the Hadar team seeks programmers, VFX experts, technical artists, writers, and mission designers. Leading developers describing this as a "once-in-a-lifetime chance" suggests a transition from initial concepts to full-scale production.

CD Projekt Red concurrently manages several projects. The largest team focuses on Project Polaris, the inaugural entry in the new Witcher trilogy featuring Ciri. Two additional teams are developing a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel and another game within the Witcher universe.
