In a recent post on their X/Twitter account, Sandfall Interactive highlighted the emergence of several "suspicious" websites selling Esquie plushies. "To be clear: any third-party websites selling Esquie plushies are NOT officially licensed," the studio emphasized. "Many of them are using AI-generated artwork to advertise, and we strongly recommend against purchasing from these sources. They could be scams."

However, to counterbalance the caution with excitement, Sandfall confirmed they are actively working on creating official Esquie plushies. "In the meantime, please be patient — and don’t get scammed!" they advised fans eager to get their hands on the merchandise.

Players of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will understand the appeal of an Esquie plushie. Introduced in Act 1, Esquie serves as a helpful giant who not only accompanies you on your journey but also facilitates overworld travel, reminiscent of Big Hero 6's Baymax. The demand for an Esquie plush is thus understandable, and it's reassuring to know that Sandfall is addressing this with an official product. A quick Google search reveals both unofficial sites and forums discussing Esquie plush sales, but fans will need to wait for the genuine article from Sandfall and Kepler. There's no word yet on whether the real-life plushie will also contain wine, a playful nod to Esquie's in-game characteristics.

Last week, Sandfall Interactive rolled out patch 1.2.3 for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which included balance adjustments for Maelle's Stendhal ability.
