Marmalade Game Studio has just released the 2016 Suspects Pack for the digital version of Clue, also known as Cluedo. If you're a fan of this classic murder-mystery game, you'll be thrilled to dive back into the world with some of the iconic characters from the 2016 edition.

Who Are the 2016 Clue aka Cluedo Suspects?

The pack features beloved characters such as Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Dr. Orchid, and Mrs. Peacock. This new addition focuses solely on these characters, giving you the flexibility to place them in any scenario you desire. You're not bound to a particular crime scene or case file, allowing you to mix and match with the 2023 cast for a truly personalized experience.

Fans of the 2016 version have been vocal about bringing these characters back, especially with the introduction of the more modern 2023 characters. It's great to see that Marmalade Game Studio has listened to the community and delivered this nostalgic pack.

There’s More Coming to the Game!

In addition to the 2016 Suspects, Clue aka Cluedo is introducing a new game mode: the Retro Rules Set. This mode, available for free, allows you to play by the original 1949 rules, bringing back old-school mechanics that alter movement and accusations. For instance, tokens will start at designated spots on the board, with Miss Scarlet making the first move, followed by Colonel Mustard if she's not in play.

In this mode, accusations can only be made from within a room, and Clue Cards are omitted entirely. Additionally, you won't be able to move through squares occupied by other players, adding a strategic layer to the game.
