"Complete KCD2's Under the Straw Hat Side Quest: Guide"
Embarking on new adventures in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* requires you to reach Kuttenberg, where a slew of exciting quests awaits. One such quest is "Under the Straw Hat," which you can tackle once you've settled into this vibrant region. Here's your comprehensive guide to completing this intriguing quest.
How to Unlock ‘Under the Straw Hat’ in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Before diving into "Under the Straw Hat," you'll need to kickstart "In Vino Veritas." This side quest unfolds in Kuttenberg, where Casper Rudolf is offering free wine samples on the west side of the city. Casper needs your help to refine his wine, setting the stage for your adventure.
You have two paths to gather the necessary wine knowledge: directly approach Havel or retrieve Casper's book from Adleta and study it. Opting to meet Havel first requires you to don fancy attire and ensure you're clean. When conversing with him, select "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It’s missing ginger" as your responses. This is crucial for extracting the information you need. Once you've gleaned insights from Havel, return to Casper and share your findings.
Access the Vineyard
Next, Casper tasks you with infiltrating a vineyard north of Kuttenberg to learn more about the incense Havel mentioned. Trespassing in the fields is risky, so stick to the main road. Engage with the recruiter there, who will initiate the "Under the Straw Hat" quest. Proceed along the road, pass a guard, and locate Jerome on a bench. Inform Jerome you're reporting for duty, and he'll brief you on vineyard work.
Working at the Vineyard
Your vineyard job starts the following day. After a night's rest, return in the morning. You can earn some coin by moving sacks and harvesting plants like Thistle, or you can focus on acquiring the secret incense.
The incense is stored in the wine cellar, located downstairs in the main building near where you met Jerome. Accessing this area without permission is risky, so you'll need either a lockpick or to pilfer the keys from Jerome.
In the cellar, locate a chest and take all the Sulphur Wicks inside to fulfill the main objective. For an enhanced reward, consider grabbing seedlings for Casper as well. From the main building's entrance, head straight to find the seedlings across the building. Be swift, as this area is also off-limits.
If you choose to work, report to Jerome at day's end for your pay. Otherwise, return to Casper with the wicks and possibly the seedlings to complete both "Under the Straw Hat" and "In Vino Veritas" quests in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
With these quests behind you, you're ready to explore other exciting side quests like "Master Schindel’s Toys."
*Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.*
