Roblox's Rivals Update 9: New Gunblade Weapon and Bridge Map Arrive

The popular first-person shooter PvP Roblox experience, Rivals, has dropped Update 9, introducing the creative Gunblade weapon and a new map, Bridge, to its expanding arsenal.

Developer Nosniy Games provided details in the patch notes, highlighting the additions and a few minor tweaks. While a smaller update compared to recent releases, it still offers engaging new content.

The Gunblade, a versatile combination rifle and blade, is a standout addition. Its dual functionality – ranged attacks and melee combat – adds a strategic element to gameplay, particularly effective on the new Bridge map. This close-quarters combat arena, set in Seoul and created by @GreatGuyBoom, features a suspended concrete structure with limited cover, fostering intense battles.

This update prioritizes the new content, foregoing bug fixes, balance adjustments, and quality-of-life improvements for this release. While minor skin modifications for the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi were implemented, along with renaming some weapons (Hexxed to Vexed), Nosniy assures players that these elements will be addressed in future updates. The next major update will notably include the highly anticipated Ranked mode.

The developers stated, "We hear all of your feedback and want to reassure you all that every necessary & additional changes/improvements will be made in time for Ranked."

• New challenges replace the Winter Spotlight, offering keys and the limited-time Bungeoppang charm upon completion on the Bridge map.

OTHER

• Minor modifications to Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi skins.
• Renamed several weapons: Hexxed Flare Gun to Vexed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle to Vexed Candle, and Hexxed wrap to Vexed.
