The Fashion Week event in Pokemon GO is making a comeback, bringing back some beloved costumed Pokemon for a limited time. As expected, this edition also introduces a new costumed star — Minccino and Cinccino in stylish outfits.

When Does Costume Minccino Release in Pokemon GO?

Costume Minccino and costume Cinccino debuted during Fashion Week 2025, running from January 10 to January 19. These fashionable variants of the Pokemon wear oversized rhinestone-studded glasses and sport a cute bow on each ear.

Upon release, Costume Minccino can be found in its Shiny form in Pokemon GO. The official Pokemon blog notes, however, that Shiny Costume Cinccino is not available during the event.

While costume Minccino is the newest addition, the January 2025 Fashion Week also welcomes back past event costumes. Players can encounter costumed versions of Butterfree, Dragonite, Diglett, Blitzle, Kirlia, and Shinx. As with previous Fashion Weeks, Furfrou will also appear frequently in the wild and in Raids.

How To Get Costume Minccino in Pokemon GO

Many Pokemon GO players have expressed disappointment over recent debuts being less available as wild spawns. True to this trend, costume Minccino won't appear in the wild and can only be obtained through two methods: Raids and Research.

One-Star Raids

During Fashion Week, costume Minccino will appear as a One-Star Raid boss. These Raids are typically straightforward to complete solo, giving most players a good chance of catching one—provided they can reach a Gym. After winning the Raid, trainers will get an opportunity to catch Minccino and expand their costume collection.

Costume Shinx and Furfrou will also be featured in One-Star Raids during the event. This means it might take a few attempts to locate a Gym hosting a Minccino Raid.

Paid Timed Research

The only other confirmed method to get costume Minccino in Pokemon GO is by purchasing the Paid Timed Research ticket. Priced at $5 USD (or local equivalent), the ticket grants XP and Stardust rewards, a new avatar pose, and—most importantly—encounters with event-themed Pokemon.

Costume Minccino is specifically listed as one of the encounters available through this ticket. As long as players finish the tasks before time runs out, they're guaranteed to catch at least one of these trendy Pokemon.

Field Research Tasks

Completing this event's Field Research Tasks will reward encounters with "event-themed Pokemon." Niantic's blog doesn’t specify which species are included, so Minccino might be among them. However, many trainers suspect that the new costumed Pokemon will be exclusive to the Paid Timed Research, leaving free-to-play players with other costumed creatures.

How To Get Costume Cinccino in Pokemon GO

For trainers seeking costume Cinccino, the only way to obtain one is by evolving a costume Minccino. To complete the matching set, you’ll need to catch at least two costumed Minccino, then use 50 Candies and a Unova Stone for the evolution.
