In a statement to Eurogamer, the developer reiterated its previously announced plan for independent publishing, emphasizing its ongoing collaborations with various partners. They clarified that while discussions continue, no agreements regarding exclusivity have been finalized.
A public demonstration of Crimson Desert is planned for November at G-Star. The developer confirmed that no official release date has been set, refuting any speculation based on unconfirmed reports. A playable build will be showcased to media this week in Paris.
September investor meetings revealed Sony's attempt to secure PS5 exclusivity for Crimson Desert, potentially excluding Xbox for a period. However, Pearl Abyss opted for self-publishing, believing it would yield significantly higher profitability.
