Year of Prophecy Roadmap Revealed at Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate Reveal Event

Destiny 2 continues to deliver fresh content for its dedicated free-to-play community. During the Edge of Fate reveal livestream on May 7, Bungie unveiled the roadmap for the Year of Prophecy, detailing the exciting events planned for the remainder of the year.

This year's roadmap introduces a new structure for Destiny 2's annual updates. Starting with the Year of Prophecy, each year will feature four major content releases: two paid expansions and two major updates accessible to all players. These updates will include new events, Exotic Missions, gear, rewards, and more. Importantly, all players will have access to these major updates without needing to pay for seasonal activities.

The Edge of Fate Launches July 15

Kicking off the Year of Prophecy, Destiny 2's first expansion, The Edge of Fate, launches on July 15. Players will explore the new location, Kepler, and harness new abilities alongside new allies.

This update also introduces the Portal, a new activity selection screen that instantly connects players to a variety of activities tailored to different playstyles. It's designed to help players easily find their next adventure. Additionally, expect changes to the game's armor and tiering systems, new set bonuses, and a rework of character stats. Renegades Coming on December 2

Later this year, on December 2, Destiny 2 will release its second expansion, Renegades, in collaboration with the iconic Star Wars franchise. This expansion will blend Destiny’s signature storytelling and gameplay with Star Wars’ iconic elements and themes, creating a unique sci-fi experience. The story and events during this collaboration will be pivotal to the Fate Saga, introducing new characters and mechanics.
