Rebel Wolves studio has unveiled details about their upcoming vampire RPG, highlighting the game's central feature: the protagonist's duality. Game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz describes the character as a modern-day Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, a concept largely unexplored in video games. This duality, he believes, will offer a unique and surreal experience unlike anything seen before.

The team is particularly interested in exploring player engagement with a character who's not always a powerful vampire, spending time as an ordinary human. This intentional contrast between the character's two sides is a key design element, but requires careful consideration. Many RPG mechanics are so ingrained in player expectations that altering them risks confusion.

Tomaszkiewicz acknowledges the inherent challenge in RPG development: balancing innovation with established conventions. He cites the mixed reception of Kingdom Come: Deliverance's schnapps-dependent save system as an example of how even seemingly minor deviations from established norms can spark significant player debate. The team is carefully considering which mechanics to adapt and which to retain to best satisfy genre expectations while delivering a fresh experience.

The game's gameplay premiere is anticipated for Summer 2025.
