Schedule I surged to the top of Steam's sales charts upon its launch, outpacing major titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals. The game's viral spread across social media, Twitch, and YouTube has propelled it to new heights. In Schedule I, players start as small-time dealers in the gritty city of Hyland Point, working their way up to become drug kingpins by manufacturing and distributing a variety of substances. Players can expand their empire with properties, businesses, and employees.
Developed and published by the Australian indie developer Tyler under the moniker TVGS, Tyler described the game's explosive launch as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." In a Reddit post, he shared his astonishment: "I never expected this kind of response! At the moment I’m just trying to stay focused and get patches out ASAP. Also looking forward to getting started on content updates as soon as all major bugs are patched."
