May 15,25

Following the reveal of their new game, Project C4, ZA/UM has now announced a mobile version of the critically acclaimed RPG, Disco Elysium, exclusive to Android devices. The studio aims to introduce the game to a broader audience while providing a convenient, on-the-go experience for current fans. The first two chapters will be available for free, with a one-time payment option to unlock the full game without ads.

ZA/UM emphasized their commitment to ensuring players can make an informed purchase decision, stating, “Today’s ZA/UM studio is comprised of both creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP. We take both of those roles very seriously and we believe that is evident in the Disco Elysium mobile experience we are creating.”

The official description highlights that this version is a “total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium and designed to completely cater to the habits of today’s mobile users. This story-rich adventure has been optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to dive in anytime, anyplace on their mobile devices.”

Narrative Lead Chris Priestman likened the mobile version to “what audiobooks wish they were,” noting its design for brief, engaging play sessions. Disco Elysium is set to launch on mobile via Google Android in the summer of 2025.

It’s important to mention that while the studio retains the same name, many of the original team members behind Disco Elysium have since left ZA/UM. Numerous former members are now working on spiritual successors to the game.
