After hearing rumors of "worse men" from his past being active in Japan, Yasuke's questline in Assassin’s Creed Shadows leads him to the Templar Hunt Objective Board. To progress, players must track down and eliminate several Templar targets, starting with Kimura Kei. Here’s a detailed guide on how to find and assassinate each Templar target, ensuring you maximize your rewards and progress through Yasuke’s compelling narrative.

How to Find the Templar Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The first clue to Kimura Kei's whereabouts comes from a ronin contact in Kii. Locate him in central Nakahechi Route at the inn in Takahara Village. If needed, use Scouts to pinpoint his exact location. Look for a building marked with green flags near a cherry blossom tree. Inside, you'll meet a ronin dressed in Oda Clan attire. Engage him in conversation, and he will direct you to a recruiter named Kumabe Ujiie.

Where to Find Kumabe Ujiie

Head to northern Kii to find Kumabe Ujiie at a cemetery in Koyasan, northeast of the Kongobuji Temple. He'll be walking with an escort of ronin, but approach him calmly and select the “I seek guidance” dialogue option. Follow him to receive the precise location of Kimura Kei.

How and Where to Assassinate Kimura Kei

Kimura Kei's training grounds are located in the southwest portion of Kii, just north of the shore, between Sazae Oni Shores and Nakahechi Route. Follow the students to reach Kimura Kei, who will recognize Yasuke and command his students to attack. Be prepared to fight waves of ronin, utilizing your highest level armor and weapons. Exploding red barrels along the path can be used strategically to clear large groups of enemies.

The confrontation with Kimura Kei triggers a multi-phase boss fight, preventing a stealth assassination. Equip armor with an engraving that enhances your ability to parry unblockable attacks, as Kimura Kei employs many of these. In the first phase, he uses a standard Katana; parry his attacks to make him vulnerable and use posture attacks to break his armor. As the fight progresses into the second phase, he wields a Long Katana alongside his standard Katana, increasing his use of unblockable attacks. Focus on dodging and striking when opportunities arise.

When Kimura Kei's health drops to about half, the fight moves outdoors, where he unleashes high-damage unblockable attacks. Maintain distance, dodge frequently, and use ranged weapons like a bow or teppo for effective damage.

Every Reward for Killing Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Defeating Kimura Kei grants 3,000 XP, Mon, and the Templar-themed Destroyer Samurai Armor and Helmet. The armor reduces the impact of enemy attacks, while the helmet boosts Yasuke’s damage by 10% for every 10% of health missing.

How to Find the Silver Queen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Once all Shinbakufu have been defeated, the Silver Queen, aiding the Portuguese in Tamba, appears on the Templar Board. To reach her, Yasuke must first consult a spy.

Where to Find and Talk to The Spy

The spy is located in Southeast Tamba within the Silver Lands. Find him sitting on a rug under a small structure next to a wooden cart and crates. He will provide the Silver Queen's location after your conversation.

Where to Meet the Silver Queen

The Silver Queen awaits in the town of Tada, just Northeast of the Tada Kakurega. Approach her as she converses with Portuguese soldiers. Follow her to her house for tea, only to awaken later in the Tada Silver Mine.

How to Escape from Tada Silver Mine

After waking from the drugged tea, break through the locked door of your confinement. Choose between fighting or sneaking out, with the latter being the most efficient. Head southwest to exit Tada Silver Mine, eliminating any enemies that obstruct your path.

How to Locate Akechi Mitsuyoshi

To continue the quest, the Silver Queen requires Yasuke to rescue her brother, Akechi Mitsuyoshi, in exchange for information on his true target. Head north toward Kameyama Castle after escaping Tada Silver Mine. Stock up on Ammo and Rations at the Kakurega north of Senneji Temple in Kameyama. Activate Pathfinder to navigate through the castle, eliminating guards as you proceed to the living quarters where a bleeding servant will give you a key to the castle’s Tenshu.

How to Free Akechi Mitsuyoshi and Retrieve His Katana

With the key, enter the main castle building underneath the Viewpoint and unlock the door to Akechi Mitsuyoshi's cell. Follow him as he escapes, using your bow or teppo to protect him from distant threats. After freeing him, return to the castle to retrieve his Katana from Baltazar, who is surrounded by soldiers. Clear the area before engaging Baltazar, using abilities and posture attacks to break his guard and deal significant damage. Once Baltazar is defeated and the Katana retrieved, head north to Atago Shrine, where Akechi Mitsuyoshi will reveal the next target's location.

How to Find and Assassinate Nuno Caro

Yasuke’s ultimate target, Nuno Caro, is preparing to leave Japan. Locate him in Western Tamba at Takeda Castle, perched high atop a mountain at the end of a winding road. Enable Pathfinder for a direct route. Takeda Castle is heavily guarded with alarm bells that can alert others to your presence. Use your bow or teppo to disable these alarms to maintain stealth as much as possible.

As you ascend the castle, eliminate Nuno Caro's men and interact with the double doors at the top to initiate the boss fight. Nuno Caro uses a sword and a pistol, executing a four-swipe combo and firing red-glowing pistol shots. Block or parry his sword attacks, dodge the pistol shots, and use Abilities to deal high damage and make him vulnerable. Continue this strategy until Nuno Caro is defeated, completing the Templar Hunt Objective Board.
