Disney Mirrorverse to End Service Soon

Feb 10,25

Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Kabam, the developer, announced the End of Service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.

The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and all in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the game before the servers are permanently deactivated.

A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse

Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered a compelling premise: action-packed battles featuring reimagined Disney and Pixar heroes. Despite initial excitement, a lengthy beta period and infrequent content updates contributed to player attrition.

The game's challenging shard collection system, requiring significant time investment or in-app purchases to fully develop characters, also proved a deterrent. However, the game's artistic merit, boasting exceptional character designs and visuals, remains undeniable.

The Unexpected EOS Announcement

The timing of the EOS announcement is particularly jarring, following the recent release of new story content and the addition of Cinderella as a playable character just a week prior. This abrupt closure mirrors Kabam's previous actions, including the sudden shutdowns of Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.

This unexpected closure leaves many Disney fans disappointed. What are your thoughts on the Disney Mirrorverse EOS? Share your comments below. And don't miss our coverage of Zombies In Conflict Of Nations: World War 3 Season 15!
