GungHo Entertainment, the creators of the crossover card battler Teppen, is developing a retro-style RPG in collaboration with Disney. This exciting new title, Disney Pixel RPG, promises a vast roster of pixel-art Disney characters.
Disney Pixel RPG, launching later this year, will let players recruit and battle with iconic Disney characters across multiple game worlds. Expect a blend of battle, action, and rhythm-based challenges.
Players can create and customize their own avatars to fight alongside their favorite Disney characters. The gameplay blends auto-battling with opportunities for direct player control. The storyline revolves around combating strange programs invading the pixelated Disney worlds.
A Retro-Inspired Crossover
This isn't GungHo's first foray into large-franchise crossover games. Given Disney's extensive library of films and franchises, this game has the potential for an incredibly diverse character roster. GungHo's experience makes them well-suited to manage such a large cast.
