Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2

Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and accessible only via a destroyed bridge, presents a significant hurdle in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide outlines the methods to overcome this obstacle and reach the island.

Method 1: The Spirit Bridge

The remnants of a bridge northeast of Cloisterwood, closer to Jahan and Witch Alice, offer a path. Use Spirit Vision to reveal the broken sections. Crossing requires:

  1. Gloves of Teleportation: Teleport each party member individually.
  2. Translocation Skills: Utilize skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat. Note that not all companions possess these.
  3. Teleporter Pyramids: Place one pyramid with a companion using translocation. Once they reach the other side, the rest teleport to them.
  4. Fast Travel: A companion with translocation reaches the island, establishes a waypoint, and the rest fast travel.

Method 2: The Undead Ferry

Located northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage. However, this is deceptive:

  • With Fane: Only Fane (being undead and immune to Deathfog) survives the crossing. He establishes a waypoint for the rest of the party to fast travel to.
  • Without Fane: Use two Teleporter Pyramids. One companion takes the ferry (dying upon arrival), the second pyramid brings the rest to the deceased companion, who is then resurrected. This method is less efficient than using the bridge.

Method 2 Alternative (Without Fane): Using Teleportation Pyramids

If Fane isn't in your party, the Teleporter Pyramid method is still viable. One companion makes the perilous ferry journey, perishes, and is then revived by the party using the second pyramid. However, this method is considerably riskier and less efficient than utilizing the spirit bridge.

Important Note: Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless you've saved your game. He retaliates with a deadly Deathfog spell. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP. For parties without Fane, the spirit bridge is generally the recommended approach.
