Nintendo has unveiled an exciting new addition to its gaming lineup with the announcement of Donkey Kong Bananza, a 3D platforming action adventure exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2. Scheduled for release on July 17, 2025, the game will be priced at $69.99. A debut gameplay trailer was showcased during the recent Nintendo Direct, giving fans a first look at what's in store.

According to the official blurb, Donkey Kong Bananza promises a thrilling experience where players can "crash, bash, and climb through nearly everything in DK's path." Players will have the ability to tear off chunks of terrain to swing around and throw, enhancing exploration. The more destruction caused with powerful punches, the more areas become available to discover. This adventure is set to be filled with mayhem, surprises, and, of course, plenty of bananas.

The Nintendo Switch 2, set to launch on June 5, 2025, will be priced at $449.99. The console package includes the following:

This bundle will be available starting on the launch day of the Nintendo Switch 2. Mario Kart World will be available separately for $79.99, marking a $10 increase over Nintendo's most expensive Switch game to date.
