The bad news is that it will no longer be coming to Netflix Games. However, the good news is that Don't Starve Together is still on its way to mobile platforms, including iOS and Android.

Playdigious, in collaboration with Klei Entertainment, continues their efforts to bring this gloomy, Tim Burton-esque survival game to mobile devices. In Don't Starve Together, players find themselves stranded on an island teeming with hostile wildlife. As a range of quirky, oddball characters, your goal is to gather resources and survive, but most importantly, don't starve.

Originally planned as an exclusive for Netflix Games, Don't Starve Together will now launch globally on iOS and Android through Google Play and the iOS App Store. While an exact release date has yet to be announced, both Klei Entertainment and Playdigious have assured fans that an update on the launch is forthcoming.

While it's reassuring to know that Don't Starve Together will still reach a global audience, the absence of such a significant indie title on Netflix raises questions about the platform's future commitment to indie games.

Don't Starve is far from a small franchise and is widely regarded as one of the most iconic survival indie games.
