Bethesda and id Software have unveiled a thrilling new demonstration of DOOM: The Dark Ages during the Xbox showcase, confirming the much-anticipated release date of May 15. This latest installment in the iconic DOOM series transports players to the Medieval times, promising a gameplay experience that distinctly reflects this new era.

In DOOM: The Dark Ages, players will embody the essence of a "killing machine" and a formidable tank. Unlike its predecessor, DOOM: Eternal, this game shifts away from constant jumping and extensive parkour. Instead, players will find themselves firmly planted on the ground, wielding a powerful arsenal to obliterate demons. Key weapons in your demon-slaying toolkit will include a shield and a mace, offering a visceral and brutal combat experience.

For the first time in the series, players can harness the might of a giant mech to crush slightly smaller demons, adding a thrilling layer of strategy and power to the gameplay.
