Unlocking the Lady Vengeance: A Divinity: Original Sin 2 Guide

Having escaped Fort Joy and removed your Source collar, your journey continues aboard the Elven ship, Lady Vengeance. This guide details how to get the ship sailing, a puzzle requiring unconventional methods. You must explore, interact with NPCs, and ultimately access Magister Dallis' cabin to obtain and utilize the Ancient Empire Songbook.

1. Investigating the Deck:

Begin by examining the bodies of the magisters and gheists on the deck. Loot them for clues and items. A Sodden Diary, found on a corpse, reveals a password for a stateroom door. You can also potentially acquire the password via a skill check with the northern stateroom door. A Strange Gem, crucial for accessing the Portside Stateroom, is also needed. A nearby magic mirror allows for unlimited respeccing if needed for skill checks.

2. Accessing the Portside Stateroom:

Using the password from the diary (or skill check), and possessing the Strange Gem, interact with the southern stateroom door. The gem will be recognized, and the password ("Fortitude") will unlock Magister Dallis' cabin. Inside, you'll find Bishop Alexander (in a Source collar), and a hidden hatch containing dangerous gheists and a Teleportation Prism.

3. Obtaining the Ancient Empire Songbook:

In Magister Dallis' cabin, speak with Tarquin and Dallis, exhausting their dialogue options. Locate the Ancient Empire Songbook on a central pedestal. Reading it will reveal the song needed to move the ship. It's advisable to speak to all NPCs before proceeding, as interaction will be limited once the ship sets sail.

4. Setting Sail:

Return to the deck and inform Malady of your discovery. She will request you sing the song. Locate the dragon figurine to the west of the deck. Interact with it and choose the option to sing the song. The Lady Vengeance will begin to move. Prepare for an immediate ambush by powerful magisters – ensure your party is adequately prepared!
