Dredge\'s mobile port delayed until next year but a closed beta test is planned for December

Jan 25,25

Dredge's mobile release delayed until February 2025, but a new closed beta is now open for registration!

Fans of Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, Dredge, will have to wait a bit longer for the mobile port. The release has been pushed back to February 2025. However, to soften the blow, Black Salt Games has opened sign-ups for a new closed beta test.

In Dredge, players take on the role of a fisherman in the unsettling town of Greater Marrow. Initially, the job seems straightforward – catching and selling fish. But things quickly take a dark turn with the appearance of strange sea creatures, mysterious beings, and unsettling events on a nearby island. The game’s Lovecraftian themes and the threat of madness add a chilling layer to the fishing gameplay.

A worthwhile wait?

Having experienced the PC version, the delay is understandable. Porting such a rich and detailed world to mobile is a significant undertaking. The additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing for valuable player feedback before the official launch. Given Dredge's critical acclaim and numerous awards, the wait will likely be worth it for those who haven't yet experienced this unique blend of horror and fishing.
