In the vast world of *Monster Hunter Wilds*, resources are plentiful, but some, like Sharp Fangs, can be elusive. This guide will show you how to efficiently locate and farm these crucial crafting components.

Sharp Fangs are early-game crafting materials found in the Windward Plains. They're essential for crafting beginner-level gear like Chatacabra and Talioth armor. Early optional quests like "Beware the Chatacabra" or "The Desert is Demanding" provide access to this area, granting a generous 50-minute time limit. Remember to prepare with a hearty meal before embarking on your hunt.

Once in the Windward Plains, head to Area 8, the largest area, teeming with smaller monsters. While several creatures here can drop Sharp Fangs, one stands out as the most reliable source:

Gaijos

Gaijos are small, crocodile-like leviathans often found near or in riverbeds. Their distinctive snouts make them easy to identify. Use your map's purple diamond markers near water sources to locate them. These creatures are relatively weak, making them quick and easy targets. Carving a defeated Gaijo guarantees a single Sharp Fang.

With four to five Gaijos typically spawning in the Windward Plains, and the ability to easily re-enter the area via optional quests, farming Sharp Fangs from Gaijos is a highly efficient strategy.

Talioth

Another creature in Area 8 (and sometimes Area 13) that may drop Sharp Fangs is the Talioth. These bipedal creatures travel in packs and are slightly tougher than Gaijos, but still manageable with early-game weapons. While not a guaranteed drop, hunting Talioths offers a chance at Sharp Fangs, and conveniently completes the "The Desert is Demanding" quest (requiring 8 Talioth kills).
