Dynasty Warriors: Origins, while not open-world, features a sizable map that expands as the story progresses. This can lead to significant travel time, especially when tackling side content and newly unlocked missions. Fortunately, fast travel significantly streamlines exploration.

How to Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Map Screen Showing Waymarks Fast travel utilizes Waymarks, accessed via the in-game map. To unlock a Waymark, approach it on the world map and press X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox). Unlocked Waymarks then appear on the map screen, enabling instant travel.

Accessing the Map Menu Access the map outside of battle by interacting with an unlocked Waymark or pausing the game and navigating to the Map menu using the shoulder buttons. PlayStation players can also quickly access the map by pressing the DualSense touchpad while on the world map.

Selecting a Destination The map screen displays unlocked Waymarks. Hovering over a Waymark reveals nearby locations and battles. Press Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) to toggle information about these points of interest. Use Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox) to cycle through available battles and locations, then select the desired destination to automatically move the cursor to the nearest Waymark. This efficient system minimizes backtracking and maximizes playtime.
