Final Fantasy XVI's PC Launch: September 17th

Square Enix has officially announced the highly anticipated PC release of Final Fantasy XVI on September 17th. This announcement also suggests a positive shift in the franchise's multi-platform strategy, with Takai hinting at potential simultaneous releases across PC and consoles for future titles.

The PC version will be available for $49.99, while a Complete Edition, including the "Echoes of the Fallen" and "The Rising Tide" expansions, will cost $69.99. A playable demo is currently available, offering a preview of the prologue and an "Eikonic Challenge" combat mode. Progress from the demo carries over to the full game.

In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, Takai highlighted the PC version's enhancements, stating, "We've increased the frame rate cap to 240fps, and players can select from various upscaling technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS3, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS."
