The Unexpected FIFA x Konami Partnership

This collaboration is a significant shift after years of rivalry. Recall that EA and FIFA ended their decade-long partnership in 2022, reportedly due to FIFA's demand for a $1 billion licensing fee every four years – a substantial increase from the previous $150 million. This led to the release of EA Sports FC 24 in 2023. Now, FIFA has chosen Konami's eFootball for the FIFAe World Cup 2024.
