I own three standing desks. For one, I got a desk with the included desktop. For the others, I sourced the desktops myself. I bought a 74"x26" maple veneered countertop from Ikea for $199 for one, and a 48"x25" solid wood countertop from Home Depot for the other, which I finished myself. This approach can save money and allow you to choose a better quality material, just be sure to respect the weight limitations.

How does Flexispot compare to other brands?

From personal experience, I own a Jarvis Fully, a Vari Ergo, and a Flexispot E5. All have been reliable for over three years. The Flexispot E5, though significantly less expensive, doesn't seem to compromise on quality.
