Fortnite Hunters plunges players into a new reality brimming with Japanese mythology, featuring unique locations, formidable demon bosses, and powerful weapons. While traversing the map with Void Oni Masks, acquiring high-tier weapons is now easier than ever thanks to Weapon Expertise Quests. These quests reward XP and unlock access to Legendary weapons sold by various NPCs.

Updated January 14, 2025, by Nathan Round: With each update, Fortnite Hunters introduces new Expertise Quests. This guide includes the recently added Melee Expertise Quests, enabling players to obtain the Typhoon Blade from Kendo.

Weapon Expertise Quests Explained

Weapon Expertise Quests are a new feature in Fortnite Hunters, linked to specific map NPCs. The initial quest introduces the concept, requiring interaction with Hope, Ruji, or Agent Jones regarding expertise and weapon sales.

These quests consist of five-stage challenges. Completion unlocks one of three Legendary weapons from Hope, Ruji, or Vengeance Jones. Additional quests allow purchasing Oni Masks from Daigo (for quick access to Void and Fire Oni Masks) and the Typhoon Blade from Kendo. Track your progress in the main lobby or in-game via the Quests tab.

While these quests can be completed passively, the rewards are substantial. Below are the available Legendary weapons:
