Fortnite reverses its controversial decision about one of the skins
The iconic Master Chief, star of the Halo franchise and a popular Fortnite skin, recently returned to the item shop after a two-year hiatus, much to the delight of fans. However, the re-release wasn't without its hiccup.
Initially, a special Matte Black style, previously exclusive to Xbox Series S|X players, was slated for removal. This announcement, contradicting earlier assurances of its continued availability, sparked considerable backlash.
Some players even considered legal action, threatening a class-action lawsuit. Fortunately, Epic Games swiftly reversed course within 24 hours. The Matte Black style is now available to all Master Chief skin owners who play a single match on an Xbox Series S|X console.
This reversal appears to be a wise move, especially considering the holiday season. Spoiling the festive cheer with such a controversial decision would have been ill-advised.
