Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, especially without a decent weapon. This guide shows you how to obtain the Dogwood Village Bow early and without spending a single groat.

After parting ways with Hans, your path to Semine's wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or a miller. Regardless of your chosen profession, the blacksmith's location conveniently marks the bow's whereabouts on your map. Even if you opt for the miller's job, this shortcut remains available.

The blacksmith resides in Tachov, north of Troskowitz. Travel west from Troskowitz, following the path as it curves north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. This seemingly unremarkable area hides a small training ground.

Within this grove, locate the archery target. Retrieve the arrows for some free ammunition. To the right of the target, against a tree trunk, you'll find the Dogwood Village Bow. Help yourself to the nearby brew and mushrooms before continuing your quest.

Alternative Acquisition:

While you can purchase the Dogwood Village Bow from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, it's not the most powerful ranged weapon and not worth the price, especially considering the free alternative. Vitek offers other, superior weapons, and you can supplement your income through alchemy.

Regardless of whether you choose the free bow or pursue other weaponry, having a ranged option significantly improves your combat capabilities, particularly if you prefer not to engage in close-quarters melee combat.

After acquiring your bow, you can continue the blacksmith storyline (saving after forging a sword), or proceed to the miller's quest.
