Free Fire to debut new Winterlands: Aurora event to mark the festive season
Free Fire's Winterlands 2024 update brings a frosty chill to the battlefield! This exciting update introduces Koda, a new character with unique arctic abilities, enhanced movement mechanics, and seasonal events.
Koda, a young man from the arctic, utilizes a mystical fox mask granting him the Aurora Vision ability. This allows him to detect enemies behind cover (unless they're crouching or prone) and highlights enemy locations during parachute deployment.
The star of the show is Frosty Tracks – icy rails that let players dash across the map while shooting, maneuvering, and using throwables. Strategically placed Coin Machines along these tracks reward players with 100 FF coins, collectible even while gliding. Frosty Tracks appear in both Battle Royale and Clash Squad modes.
Aurora Events add another layer of winter magic. In Battle Royale, find aurora-affected Coin Machines; in Clash Squad, look for aurora-affected Supply Gadgets. Completing event quests by interacting with these special items provides a team-wide buff.
